About us

Our History

Bosco Community Centre has grown from a small local hall into a shared home for clubs, social nights, family activities, and volunteer-led programmes.

1978

Community Hall Opens

Local families and volunteers open the original Bosco hall for youth activities and parish events.

1996

First Sports Programme

Weekly sports sessions are introduced, laying the foundation for today’s boxing, squash, and swimming clubs.

2008

Major Renovation

The site is upgraded with improved accessibility, refreshed meeting rooms, and expanded community use spaces.

Today

A Shared Local Hub

The centre supports regular clubs, bingo nights, productions, training resources, and multi-generational events.

Built by volunteers

Our history is shaped by volunteers, committee members, club leads, and neighbours who gave their time to keep a welcoming space open for everyone. If you’d like to contribute to the next chapter, visit the committee page or the training manual.
