Section titled “Overview”This guide outlines the full process for running bingo night, including setup, gameplay, roles, and post-event tasks.
🛠️ Setup
Section titled “🛠️ Setup”General Setup
Section titled “General Setup”- Mary McGowan gets a free bottle of 7up Free
- Buy:
- 3L milk
- Biscuits
- Turn on:
- Water boiler (immediately for tea)
- Heating (boost button in coatroom, hallway)
- Sound system (open sound box on stage)
Floats
Section titled “Floats”-
Front Desk: €100
(2 × €5, 9 × €10) -
Top Table:
- €5 × 12
- €10 × 30
- €20 × 35
- €50 × 14
Total: €1760
Bingo Books
Section titled “Bingo Books”- Always take books in order
- Books follow a repeating system:
- Same prefix
- Then: 1 of 4, 2 of 4, etc.
- This prevents multiple winners per game
Shop Setup
Section titled “Shop Setup”- Open shutters
- Turn on SumUp machines
🎮 Game Rules
Section titled “🎮 Game Rules”Magic Number
Section titled “Magic Number”- Called at the start of the night
- If a line or full house ends on this number, player wins €50
- Only one magic number prize per night
Gameplay
Section titled “Gameplay”- Numbers are called one at a time
- Players mark numbers on their books
- When a line is complete:
- Player calls “Check”
- Checker verifies with caller
Jackpot
Section titled “Jackpot”- Starts at €1000 on 45 calls
- If full house is won before 45 numbers:
- Jackpot is awarded
- Otherwise:
- Runner-up prize = €200

During Each Game

- Press Next
- When “Check” is called:
- Wait for checker
- Verify numbers
- Confirm with: “Good check”
After Each Game
Section titled “After Each Game”- Hold Reset button
- Announce total numbers called
- Provide this number to cashier
💵 Cashier
Section titled “💵 Cashier”Responsibilities
Section titled “Responsibilities”- Record:
- Magic number
- Winners (line & full house)
- Winning number (last number called)
During Gameplay
Section titled “During Gameplay”- On successful check:
- Give prize to checker
- Record player name in Bingo Journal
- Track:
- Total numbers per game
- All numbers during jackpot round (compliance requirement)
Jackpot Win
Section titled “Jackpot Win”- Retrieve cheque from safe
- Ensure two signatures
- Give to winner
Multiple Winners
Section titled “Multiple Winners”- Split prize evenly
- Round up to nearest €5 if needed
(e.g. €100 split 3 ways → €35 each)
End of Night
Section titled “End of Night”- If jackpot not won:
- Increase by €100
- Increase call limit by 1
- Draw 4 books from bin:
- Winners get free book next week
- Store with Bingo Journal
- Record accounts in red Bingo Accounts book:
- Profit (Bingo + Raffle)
- Bingo income vs payouts
- Raffle income vs payouts
✅ Checker
Section titled “✅ Checker”- Get microphone
- Ensure it is working
During Game
Section titled “During Game”- When “Check” is called:
- Go to player
- Take book
- Call numbers (low → high) to caller
After Verification
Section titled “After Verification”- If valid:
- Collect prize from cashier
- Give to player
- Return player name to cashier
🌙 End of Night
Section titled “🌙 End of Night”Admin Tasks
Section titled “Admin Tasks”- Email next week’s prize fund to:
Jackpot Rollover
Section titled “Jackpot Rollover”- If not won:
- +€100
- +1 call
Book Draw
Section titled “Book Draw”- Select 4 books from bin
- Store with Bingo Journal
Accounts
Section titled “Accounts”- Record in red Bingo Accounts book:
- Profit (Bingo + Raffle)
- Bingo totals (income vs payout)
- Raffle totals (income vs payout)
